I won't fib — I've got a little grey on my muzzle. But being older just means I'm past the wild puppy stuff and all about cozy company and slow, happy mornings.
I'm on the bigger side — but honestly, that's just more of me to hug.

Meet Smokey – Your Gentle Giant with a Heart of Gold Smokey is an 8-year-old, 65 lb Mountain Cur/Hound mix who is searching for a soft, loving place to land and a forever family to call his own. This sweet boy is the definition of gentle—calm, affectionate, and endlessly kind. If Smokey had his way, he'd happily be a 65-pound lap dog, soaking up every bit of love you're willing to give. Smokey is housebroken, social, and gets along beautifully with other dogs. He has an easygoing nature and a tender soul that makes him a joy to have around. Whether it's quietly keeping you company or leaning in for affection, Smokey's presence is comforting and full of love. Smokey is currently undergoing heartworm treatment, which the rescue will continue to fully cover. Once treatment is complete, he is expected to have no ongoing medical issues related to it—just many happy, healthy years ahead. This boy is truly a gem—sweet, loyal, and ready to give his whole heart to a family who will cherish him.
