Hubby is naturally shy, and loud or very busy environments—especially with noisy children—would be overwhelming for him. He's also a little too curious about cats, so a cat-free home would be best. In a calm, patient setting, though, Hubby's personality is already starting to peek through in the most adorable ways. As he comes out of his shell, Hubby shows off full-body wiggles, hides around corners just to peek at you, and will even army crawl over for food and treats—a sure sign that trust is building. Every small step feels like a big victory with this sweet boy. Hubby came from a crowded shelter in Texas and is still learning that the world can be kind. He needs time, warmth, and patience to truly blossom into the dog he's meant to be. With gentle encouragement and a steady routine, his confidence will continue to grow. If you have a quiet home and a soft spot for sensitive souls, Hubby is ready to reward your patience with loyalty, wiggles, and a whole lot of love. Hubby is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 02/20/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven't arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start's Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start's veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
