The rescue’s notes on RUTHIE
Ruthie is a 1.5–2-year-old, 59 lb. yellow dog who appears to have some Anatolian Shepherd or Boxer in her mix, with a gentle, steady, and loyal temperament. After surviving on her own for several months, she is cautious in new situations and needs time to build trust, but once bonded, she becomes deeply loving and attached. She is house-trained, quiet in the home, and enjoys hiking, dog parks, and outdoor activities followed by peaceful naps. Ruthie is wonderful with other dogs of all sizes and gentle with children; she would thrive best with a patient, confident adopter in a home with a fenced yard, ideally someone who works from home or has an active household, and she would benefit from a companion dog and transition safety measures such as a martingale collar, double leash, and GPS collar until fully settled.
