Hi, new friend! KING here.

I've seen six good years already, and I'm ready to settle into a quiet home where someone actually wants me around—turns out solitude and I aren't great friends.

I'm the calm one (it's in writing). A quiet home and a patient hand and I'm yours.

I won't fib — there's a little grey on my muzzle. "Older" just means I'm past the wild puppy chaos and all in on cozy company.

I'm on the bigger side — which, if you ask me, is just more of me to hug.

I've been holding down the fort in Dallas, hoping someone like you would wander by.

Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.

With a little luck, Halloween could be my first one in a real home — possibly with you, or with someone you send my way.

Anyway, thank you for reading all the way to the end. Not everyone does, and I noticed. — KING

About KING

King is a seven-year-old Labrador Retriever who spent six years with his previous family and is now ready for a new home. He is gentle, quiet, and friendly with other dogs, children, and cats, and he walks well on leash. King is mostly housebroken, goes into a kennel easily, and is not destructive, though he may bark if left alone for extended periods. He is currently being treated for heartworm with doxycycline and would do well with a family or individual who can provide companionship and possibly take him to work or on outings.

KING is listed by Dallas Animal Services in Dallas, TX. The rescue handles the adoption — Pawsada helps the right family discover KING.
