The rescue’s notes on Yogi

Yogi is part of Beyond The Bars Class 10, where the theme is Cartoon Characters — and he fits the role perfectly. With that expressive face, those wise, watchful eyes, and just a hint of mischief, he's giving strong "lovable sidekick who secretly runs the whole show" energy. Yogi stopped us in our tracks when we saw him peeking over his half door at the shelter - his face was so sweet and hopeful. Then we peered over the door at his emaciated body, and saw the tail wagging anyway, we just couldn't say no! We've met a lot of dogs over the years, but there may never have been another dog who is more grateful to be here, the center of lots and lots of attention . . . and cookies! Yogi is already hard at work with his trainers, learning new skills, building trust, and showing just how much potential lives inside a second chance. And while he may not come with a catchphrase (yet), we're pretty sure it would be something like: "More belly rubs, please." Yogi is gaining weight, getting healthy, and is the sweetest happiest boy ever - come meet him!
