Hi, new friend! Moose here.
I've weathered some storms, but I'm learning that a soft bed, a good toy, and someone who actually listens make all the difference in a life worth living.
They wrote that I love to play. Understatement. I'd hike, fetch, and nap with you, in that order.
I'm on the bigger side — which, if you ask me, is just more of me to hug.
I'm a San Jose local, just waiting on the right person.
Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.
Who knows — by Labor Day I might be napping on somebody's couch. I'd love it to be near you, one way or another.
Anyway, thank you for reading all the way to the end. Not everyone does, and I noticed. — Moose

About Moose
Moose is a gentle boy you can't take your eyes off. He's curious, playful at times, and also very much a man of leisure. He loves his toys, is a dedicated sniffer on walks, an observer in the yard, and truly enjoys his uninterrupted downtime. Moose had a rough start in life. He was found by San Jose animal advocates with an injury to one of his back legs that appeared painful and uncomfortable. Thankfully, One Planet Rescue pulled him from the shelter just in time, as he had been placed on the euthanasia list. Now in a loving foster home and with plenty of much-needed TLC, Moose is thriving and learning to enjoy life. He's a true champion of second chances. His amazing foster family is teaching him new and useful cues and skills so he can reach his full doggie potential and become the superstar he was always meant to be. Moose's ideal home is one that will continue building his confidence and skills through positive reinforcement, force free training. He has been comfortable around children and would do best with calm, gentle kids who are respectful of pets. Moose also passed his cat test with flying colors, making him a great candidate for a home with dog-savvy cats. Moose is around 2 years old, neutered, fully vaccinated, and 73 pounds of joy.
