Hi, new friend! Lorie Darlin here.

I'm here to match your energy—whether that's a slow morning walk or a whole day of cozy blankets—and I promise I'm excellent at both.

They wrote that I love to play. Understatement. I'd hike, fetch, and nap with you, in that order.

I'm still young and full of beans, with a whole lot of love (and the occasional zoomie) saved up for the right person.

I've been holding down the fort in Pflugerville, hoping someone like you would wander by.

Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.

With a little luck, Labor Day could be my first one in a real home — possibly with you, or with someone you send my way.

Either way, thank you for seeing me today. That part mattered more than you know. — Lorie Darlin

About Lorie Darlin

Looking for the perfect companion? Meet Lorie. Lorie is about 2.5 years old and weighs around 40 lbs—her full-grown size. She's both kennel and house trained, and she's trustworthy with free roam in the home when left alone. She enjoys her Nyla bones and toys but isn't destructive. Lorie is easygoing and just wants to be near her person. Whether you're heading out on an adventure or staying in to relax, she's happy to match your pace. She enjoys walks but isn't high-energy—she prefers to take her time and "smell the roses." She's a sweet, silly girl who loves belly rubs and cozy blankets. Lorie is also very smart and communicative—she'll let you know when she needs to go outside or when she's hungry (and yes, she even smiles). Lorie would do well in an apartment or a home with a yard. She absolutely loves children and would make a wonderful family dog. She is dog-selective and needs time and space to warm up to other dogs, so she would do best as the only dog in the home or with an experienced adopter willing to manage a slow introduction. If placed with another dog, she tends to do best with older, calm male dogs. She is not cat-friendly. Lorie is a truly special dog who will make an incredible addition to the right home.
