This senior gentleman loves soft blankets, cozy beds, and quiet time on the couch beside his person—he's not interested in toys or high activity, and he handles alone time well. While shy at first, Russ becomes deeply affectionate once he feels safe, enjoying gentle scratches and showing his appreciation by rubbing his head into your hand for more pets. He does best with experienced dog owners who understand and respect his need for space and boundaries, and he gets along well with men, women, and older children who can provide a calm, comfortable home where he can enjoy his favorite treats like blueberries, cheese, and peanut butter.
