Well, hello! Honey here.
I've got a feeling you and I could be pretty great together.
I'm on the bigger side — but honestly, that's just more of me to hug.
I'd love to meet you. But if I'm not quite the one, maybe you could do me one tiny favor — print my bio and pop it up somewhere a future best friend might spot it. Who knows, I might see you at the park someday! Either way, thank you for stopping by and giving me a moment. It really did mean a lot. — Honey 🐾
The rescue’s notes on Honey
Meet Honey, one of those dogs who is beautiful from the inside out. From her deep inquisitive eyes and her luxurious brindle coat, to her affectionate loyalty and playful spirit, she will steal your heart in a second. Intelligent and athletic, Honey thrives with structure and adventure. She enjoys off-leash pack walks and is a joy to train. In foster care, she has shown that she is an excellent candidate for sport dog and more advanced training. She is also devoted to her person. While she does love and revere her humans, Honey also loves the company of other dogs. Her perfect housemate would be a large playful adult male who wants to chase and wrestle with her. She does well with all small dogs too. Honey is crate-trained and prefers a cozy crate, covered and away from noise, where she can chew on a tasty treat. She does not destroy bedding, but is a strong chewer, so she needs something to keep her busy while she settles in. Honey is a healthy, spayed 2-3 year old 80lb Shepherd mix. She is crate-trained, has beautiful teeth and a gorgeous coat, knows basic commands (and learning more!), is food-motivated, does well in the car, and walks nicely on leash. She is currently on bladder support supplements because she tends to dribble when she is excited to see her people. It isn't constant, and the supplements seem to help. Her prey drive is not strong. We believe she could learn to live with a cat. It is our strong preference that she live with another dog, but not a requirement. We recommend no small children and require secure fencing.
