Meet Lucy D! 💛 Lucy is a 5-year-old, 100-pound mixed breed girl with a BIG personality and an even bigger heart. She recently spent some time out of boarding on a daycation, and honestly? She was a total star. Lucy is energetic, happy, affectionate, and absolutely thrives around people. She loves attention from everyone she meets, including kids, and will happily lean in for pets, roll onto her belly for cuddles, and shower you with kisses. Despite her size and excitement, she settled beautifully throughout the day and even relaxed calmly beside a table at Community Beer Co. while taking everything in. She’s also a social butterfly with other dogs! Lucy met several dogs throughout her daycation, including tiny dogs, and walked calmly alongside them. Her boarding team reports that she is friendly with all dogs and loves to play. Lucy is house trained, crate trained, rides perfectly in the car, takes treats gently, and rarely made a peep all day. She does have some strength on leash when excited, but once she settles in, she becomes much easier to handle. Lucy came to DPA through the Dogs Matter program after her owner made the incredibly selfless decision to surrender her while focusing on their recovery journey. Unfortunately, Lucy’s previous foster was unable to continue fostering, so she is currently stuck in boarding and urgently needs a foster home. Lucy is ready to love someone with her whole heart. She just needs someone willing to give her a chance. 🫶🏻 All Dallas Pets Alive adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon adoption. The standard minimum donation for dogs over six months to seven years is $200, puppies under six months is $250, dogs eight years and over are $100 unless specified otherwise.
