He was adopted in 2020 and returned to the rescue through no fault of his own; he is not fond of strangers and will vocalize his opinions, but with his family he is very loving and loyal. Henry needs a quiet home with a fenced yard, few visitors, and an adult household—he is not suitable for homes with small children or cats, though he does well with other small dogs. His ideal home will include someone willing to work with him on walks to help him reach a healthy weight, and he requires a strong, patient leader to help him continue building confidence.
