Oh — hi! Pickle (Sacramento) here.
I'm Pickle, and I promise my shyness melts away once you show me you're safe—then I'll leap into your heart with these floppy ears flying.
My notes call me gentle and a little shy — I warm up fast once I trust you, though.
I'm a youngster — a little goofy, very teachable, and absolutely ready to grow up beside someone wonderful.
I've been holding down the fort in Petaluma, hoping someone like you would wander by.
Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.
With a little luck, Halloween could be my first one in a real home — possibly with you, or with someone you send my way.
Thanks for stopping by and giving me a moment — it honestly made my whole day. — Pickle (Sacramento)

About Pickle (Sacramento)
This shy little sweetheart is Pickle. She is a beautiful black and white dog with a smooth coat, lovely ears and soulful eyes. Her breed mix is just a guess, but her relatively short legs and floopy ears suggest that she may be a basset hound mix. However, whatever her ancestry, this girl is agile and a jumper! She can easily jump over a standard baby gate. Pickle was an unclaimed stray in a local shelter and is guessed to be around 3 years old. Pickle is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. Pickle has a sweet dispostion. Although initially standoffish with the other dogs in her foster home, it took only about 30 minutes for her to get comfortable with the dogs and to start playing. However, she seems to be most comfortable around dogs her own size, or smaller. She is not fond of the family's bloodhound, but she loves their two basset hounds. She will chase the family cats. In terms of her humans, Pickle seems to prefer women to men. It took her some time to warm up to her foster dad. It is unknown, at this time, how she reacts to children. She's a good car traveler and does great when out in public places. If you think Pickle sounds like the gentle companion you have been looking for, and you have a securely fenced yard, please submit an Adoption Application.
