I was a stray once, but now I'm learning that being quiet doesn't mean I don't have love to give—I just need someone patient enough to read me first.

I'm a youngster — a little goofy, very teachable, and absolutely ready to grow up beside someone wonderful.

About Elsa
Animal Information: Elsa is an estimated 2-year-old, 45-pound female Shepherd mix who was found as a stray in Southern California. Despite her friendly personality and love of playing with other dogs, she found herself at risk due to her length of stay at a busy municipal shelter. The moment we saw videos of Elsa happily joining playgroups, we knew we had to help. Now that she's made her way to Seattle, we've completely fallen for her soulful eyes, soft coat, and easygoing nature. Elsa is social with both people and dogs, enjoys getting out for adventures, keeps a clean crate, and walks beautifully on leash. She's the kind of dog who's just happy to be included, whether that's exploring a new trail or relaxing by your side after a day out. Foster Profile: She's a total sweetheart who likes to spend quality time with her people, is a very fast learner she picks up on routines and commands quite easily and is food motivated, and is highly perceptive. Overall, she's a super intelligent girl who is eager to please. She will do best in a home with breed experience and owners who are willing to continue her training. Elsa's very affectionate with a vibrant disposition, but has also shown the ability to get herself to relax quite easily/quickly. She has a moderate energy level, is happy to go running or hiking but is also happy to curl up at you feet. She's also fairly independent, although she loves getting pets and hugs from us, she can also just lie down and do her own thing like sniffing around the house. She would do well in home will older dog savvy kids as she can get overwhelmed by younger children. She is good with other dogs after slow introductions. She can be a bit vocal in the crate so we are not considering apartments for her at this time. She has not had any interactions with cats but can be cat tested upon request. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, heartworm test, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian.
