Oh — hi! Kootenay here.
I'm a massive shepherd who answers to literally anything because I'd follow you into a volcano, so fair warning: I don't do personal space, and your couch is now mine.
My notes call me gentle and a little shy — I warm up fast once I trust you, though.
I'm on the bigger side — which, if you ask me, is just more of me to hug.
I've been holding down the fort in Brooklyn Center, hoping someone like you would wander by.

Woof! My name is Kootenay but my foster mom calls me Koot and my foster dad calls me Crash Van Koot, but I answer to almost anything because I want to be near you! I am a big boy and love in big ways too! I want to be on the couch with you, in bed with you, and anywhere you are! I am a silly boy that loves giving kisses and I want my own forever home! Let me tell you about myself. I love being with other dogs and would need a doggy friend in my new home. I am not sure about cats so probably would be best without them in my new home. I love to play, chase, and wrestle with other dogs. I also just found out that I love water! My foster parents put out a doggy pool and I jumped right in and will lay there in the water! I am fully potty trained, I have done great meeting other people, and I even like older, respectful kids! I am left out to roam when my family leaves and I do not destroy or damage anything. I do not like to be left in a kennel due to past trauma, but I will go in one to eat my food. I am learning how to get in and out of the car but once I am in, I ride well in the car! I of course like toys, dog bones, and treats but I really want to meet you! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $525.00
