Good morning! Nita here.

I'm a gentle soul who's learning that love shows up in quiet moments—a soft tail wag and an ear scratch mean everything to me.

My notes say I'm a world-class cuddler, and I'd like that on the record.

I'm a youngster — a little goofy, very teachable, and absolutely ready to grow up beside someone wonderful.

I'm on the bigger side — which, if you ask me, is just more of me to hug.

I do come with a few special needs, but please don't let that scare you off — I just need a patient friend, and I pay it back tenfold.

I'm a Oakland local, just waiting on the right person.

Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.

Who knows — by Halloween I might be napping on somebody's couch. I'd love it to be near you, one way or another.

Thanks for stopping by and giving me a moment — it honestly made my whole day. — Nita

About Nita

Nita – Gentle, Quiet, and Blossoming with Patience Nita is a 1-year-old, petite Husky mix weighing 40 pounds with a gentle heart and a quiet, thoughtful nature. Calm and well-mannered: Nita walks beautifully on leash, takes treats gently, and is learning cues like "sit" and "come" with the help of tasty rewards. Growing in confidence: Although shy with strangers, Nita has become noticeably more comfortable with her foster family. She now occasionally approaches with a soft tail wag or a gentle lick and especially enjoys calmed and relaxed interactions. Affection on her terms: As trust grows, Nita has started enjoying belly rubs, ear scratches, and quiet companionship. Her affectionate side continues to blossom with patient, gentle handling. Settling into new experiences: She may be a little anxious when car rides begin, but she relaxes quickly and often settles down for a nap once she realizes she's safe. Nita would do best with appropriately matched dogs or as a solo dog with dog friends outside the home. Click here to learn how to adopt and submit your adoption questionnaire.
