About Jolene
Jolene is an approx. 3-5yo, 38lb. beagle mix who is super sweet and affectionate. She came to our rescue as a stray at the shelter, where she is super skinny and her skin was a mess. She is now at a healthy weight and her skin and coat have drastically improved. Jolene is house trained, crate trained (sleeps well inside or outside the crate), and rides well in a car. She is great with other dogs, cats and chickens. She would love a fenced yard and another dog to run and play with. She is very playful and loves stuffed toys and chew toys, and will gleefully run around celebrating when she gets a new one. Being a hound dog, she talks while she plays, but so far hasn't barked outside much, just mostly with her friends. Jolene would not be suitable for apartment life. In her new home she will need some guidance with inside manners, but she is eager to please and learn. Jolene is so sweet and wants to be a good girl. She loves to cuddle and be by your side. She is not really food focused and tends to wander off when fed, so it is best to feed her in her own area so other dogs won't steal her food. She does great with nail trimmings and is getting used to baths. Jolene is still learning not to jump on people when she is excited so older children would be best for her.
