Well, hello! Cali here.
I'm a one-of-a-kind mix — basically the best surprise in the building.
My notes say I'm a world-class cuddler, and I'd like that on the record.
I've been holding down the fort in Boston, hoping someone like you would wander by.
Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.
With a little luck, Thanksgiving could be my first one in a real home — possibly with you, or with someone you send my way.
Thanks for spending a minute with me. I'll be right here, tail ready, hoping it's you. — Cali
About Cali
Meet our large and lovely tripod, Cali! Cali is a spunky girl that loves to play with toys and get snuggles from her people. She's a giant teddy bear that will gladly try and climb up on your lap or roll over for belly rubs. While Cali is an older lady, she still can get into mischief, like counter surfing, leash grabbing, or playing rough with her human friends. We are looking for an adopter that can support Cali through her areas of need with positive reinforcement. Here at the shelter, she's been amazing with R+ clicker training, and we are hoping she will continue making progress in her next home. For the mots part, Cali get around pretty well with three legs, but can get tired between spurts of activity. Because of this, Cali would like to avoid a home with stairs in it for her comfort and accessibility. She would do well in a quieter environment with folks that are home more often than not as she heads into her golden years. She would like to be the only animal in the home, but could possibly live with kids that can respect her space around resources and aren't intimidated by her large stature.
