Good afternoon! Lucky here.
Small, spicy, and fully convinced I'm a Great Dane.
My notes say I'm a world-class cuddler, and I'd like that on the record.
Born and (almost) raised right here in San Jose.
Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.
If all goes well, I could be curled up with my new pack by Thanksgiving — maybe yours, whether you adopt me or just help me get noticed.
Thanks for spending a minute with me. I'll be right here, tail ready, hoping it's you. — Lucky
About Lucky
10/07/26 11:51From the foster home:Lucky is very affectionate with kisses and his favorite thing is being close to you, ensuring he's firmly pressed against you as he receives pets. After a walk, a meal, or going out to the bathroom, he almost always immediately sought out a comfy spot to snooze. He seems very much like a couch potato pittie, which worked great for us being in an apartment. He was great on leash when we went for walks; he'd have little bursts of energy initially, but then walks gently next to you the rest of the walk. Lucky was non-reactive to different types of dogs, barking or not, and other animals. His tail would wag when he saw one, but he wasn't overly interested to engage further beyond a possible sniff or two. Also was not reactive to loud noises: (i.e. car, people, random apartment noises, etc.).He had no accidents the entire stay, sleeping contently on his blanket/pillow (outside of a crate) each night without issue. In general, Lucky is a very quiet & chill dog, but will excitedly whine when you grab his collar to go outside. He doesn't consistently respond to his name `Lucky` despite our best efforts. He does respond to kissy noises and other things similar to that. While he knows the sound of his treat bag and perks up, he made no reaction to similar sounds (chip bag/food wrapper) and didn't beg for table food. It's possible he's slightly hard of hearing, but not deaf.He appears to know basic commands like sit and shake, taking treats very gently. All in all, it was really wonderful having him with us for the weekend and we miss him already. Anyone that adopts him will be lucky to have him in their family!
