Oh — hi! Gus here.
I'll love everyone I meet, fetch anything that moves, and possibly try to eat a sock. Worth it.
My notes say I'm a world-class cuddler, and I'd like that on the record.
I'm a youngster — a little goofy, very teachable, and absolutely ready to grow up beside someone wonderful.
I'm on the bigger side — which, if you ask me, is just more of me to hug.
Born and (almost) raised right here in Seattle.
Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.
If all goes well, I could be curled up with my new pack by Thanksgiving — maybe yours, whether you adopt me or just help me get noticed.
Thanks for spending a minute with me. I'll be right here, tail ready, hoping it's you. — Gus

About Gus
Animal Information: Gus was surrendered along with his siblings to our rescue partners, Animal Advocacy and Rescue Coalition, in TX. He is part of an accidental litter and the family wanted to make sure they were responsibly placed through AARC. Gus is a playful, sweet, calm boy who loves other dogs and people. He has been in a loving foster home in TX while waiting for his freedom ride to the PNW. Foster Profile: Meet Gus, a big boy with a lot of personality. Even at only 4 months old he is quickly mastering every challenge I throw at him. Potty training is in process, he will sit, lie down, settle and run to his kennel for dinner. He sleeps through the night, walks on a leash and has great recall. His ideal home will have a secure fence with room to play. He is smart so he will need a job to keep his brain busy. Ideally, another dog in the home will help with training. He already mimics my resident dog and picks up commands by imitation. I can't say enough good about this boy. He is snuggly, entertains himself well and really wants to please. He will make a wonderful companion. NOTE: Potential adopters (including fosters) will need to meet breed appropriate requirements - single family residence (no apartments) with suitable outdoor space/fencing required and Large breed experience preferred. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter (on contract, if applicable), core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166).
