Hi there! Pineapple here.

Retriever rules: tennis balls are sacred, puddles are pools, and you are my entire world.

They wrote that I love to play. Understatement. I'd hike, fetch, and nap with you, in that order.

I'm still young and full of beans, with a whole lot of love (and the occasional zoomie) saved up for the right person.

I'm a Plainfield local, just waiting on the right person.

Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.

Who knows — by Thanksgiving I might be napping on somebody's couch. I'd love it to be near you, one way or another.

Either way, thank you for seeing me today. That part mattered more than you know. — Pineapple

About Pineapple

Meet Pineapple Upside Down Cake – "Pineapple" for short! Estimated date of birth: mid-May 2026 Weight: 18 lbs (and still growing!) Pineapple is as sweet as his name! This handsome boy is sleek black with a white chest, white toes, and a little white tip on his tail. He's all long legs and a long, happy tail, so he may have some growing left to do. Pineapple is a super sweet pup who loves other dogs. Playtime with his canine friends is one of his favorite things, so he would do best in a home with another playful dog to keep him company and help teach him good manners. Like most puppies his age, Pineapple is going through a mouthy phase and is very nippy right now. He'll need an adopter who is ready to keep up with consistent, positive-reinforcement training to help him learn better ways to play. Because of this, we're looking for a home with children 8 years and older. He's doing great with his house training! Pineapple goes potty outside and will let you know when he needs to go. If you miss his cue, he'll use a pee pad. He's also a champ in his crate and sleeps through the night from about 10:30 pm to 6:30 am. Pineapple is still dealing with some itchy skin, along with some missing fur on his right ear and a few spots on his body. His foster family is keeping an eye on it, and his adopter should be prepared to continue following up with their vet as needed. Pineapple would do best with: A home with another playful dog, children 8 and older, and an adopter committed to positive puppy training. If this sweet boy sounds like the perfect fit for your family, submit an application today The adoption fee of $450 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm, and any other necessary medical treatment to ensure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe the breed, since our pups all come from shelters, we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed! *Please note that we are a foster home-based rescue and we do home visits as part of the adoption process - we are unable to adopt to families who live outside of the Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Thank you for your understanding.
