About Left
Left Eye is an 8-year-old Collie/Shepherd mix weighing about 29 pounds with a beautiful black-and-white coat. She is a sweet, gentle companion who loves a peaceful lifestyle, short walks, and quiet time with her person. Left Eye is house trained and easygoing at home, though she experiences separation anxiety and does best in a house where someone is home most of the time. She is shy with new people, especially men, and would do best with a patient adopter who can give her time to build trust; she is most comfortable with women. Left Eye should be the only pet in her home, as she becomes increasingly timid around other dogs over time and has a tendency to chase cats. She has ongoing medical needs following tumor removal and currently takes chemotherapy medication, which she will need for at least a year; Animal Rescue of the Rockies will cover her chemotherapy medications for six months following adoption. Left Eye is looking for a quiet home where she can receive plenty of companionship and help building confidence, and in return she will offer gentle affection and love once she feels safe.
