Breed
Hey, friend! Samba here.
Nobody can quite agree on my breed, which I've decided makes me limited edition.
Word is I'm a championship snuggler. I don't like to brag, but the notes don't lie.
I'm a Las Vegas local, just waiting on the right person.
Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.
Who knows — by Thanksgiving I might be napping on somebody's couch. I'd love it to be near you, one way or another.
Either way, thank you for seeing me today. That part mattered more than you know. — Samba

About Samba
SAMBA: PASSENGER PRINCESS Eight weeks post-op, Samba is looking for her forever family—with her beloved stroller included! Samba is approximately 4–5 years old, sweet, cuddly, and happiest snuggled up with her roommate Fred. Her stroller will go with her so she can enjoy adventures without being expected to walk long distances. When we know a dog's backstory, we think everyone deserves to hear it. This is Samba's. We follow social media groups where breeders discard dogs they're finished with, looking for dogs who need help. That's where we saw Samba. We reached out but received no response. The next day, she appeared at The Animal Foundation as a "stray." Samba had come from a breeding situation in Arizona, been purchased, and brought to Vegas to be bred again. Her buyer said he felt scammed because she was in such poor condition. Samba was treated like property, passed along to produce puppies and money. She deserved care all along. We're grateful we recognized her at the shelter and could help. After everything, she is still so loving. Samba has had airway surgery, been spayed, and had bilateral FHOs—surgery on both hips to relieve pain. She's moving comfortably, taking carprofen twice daily, and doing short, controlled walks. Surgery gave her comfort. It does not make her an athletic dog. Strenuous activity isn't in her future. Gentle walks, stroller rides, and cuddles are her speed. For Samba, we're looking for: A low-key home with mellow dog friends. No roughhousing. Short, controlled walks and continued recovery care. No stairs she would need to navigate. No apartments. Patience and consistency with potty training. Her movement may always look different. Our goal is comfort and a happy life. Out-of-state applications: We do adopt out of state, but please read the pinned post at the top of our page before applying. Our passenger princess deserves a family who will give her time, care, and love. Please share Samba.
