Oh — hi! Rascal here.

I'm a 65-pound chocolate puzzle still figuring out what furniture is for, but I promise I'm friendlier than my soulful stare suggests.

My notes say I'm a world-class cuddler, and I'd like that on the record.

I'm a youngster — a little goofy, very teachable, and absolutely ready to grow up beside someone wonderful.

I'm on the bigger side — which, if you ask me, is just more of me to hug.

Born and (almost) raised right here in Seattle.

Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.

If all goes well, I could be curled up with my new pack by Thanksgiving — maybe yours, whether you adopt me or just help me get noticed.

Thanks for spending a minute with me. I'll be right here, tail ready, hoping it's you. — Rascal

About Rascal

FOSTER | FOSTER-TO-ADOPT NEEDED THE MASTADORS: When our rescue partner Washington Health Outreach sent a desperate please from a Washington property with 90+ dogs and several recent litters of Lab Mastiff mixes (aka Mastadors) we had to help. We have taken in 11 and counting. Animal Information: Meet Rascal, an estimated 9 month old female Labrador Mastiff mix with a gorgeous chocolate coat and soulful eyes. She is around 65 lbs and growing. She has no aggressive tendencies toward humans and has lived with a large number of other dogs. We will share more info after she decompresses and we get to know her in foster care. Foster Profile: Rascal was understandably a little unsure when she arrived to DGS. She needed an extensive dental procedure to extract 4 teeth that had become unviable due to an old fractured jaw. Our vet believes she had blunt force trauma to the jaw but she has taken it all in stride, offering nothing but affection to everyone she's met. She's social, not dominant, and playful with other dogs. She loves to play with Philo who came from the same property. She has taken fantastically to crate training and has no observed resource guarding tendencies. We will share more info about her as we continue to get to know her. Adopter Profile: Large breed experience required Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was surrendered surrendered to our rescue in collaboration with our partner WHO, arriving to foster care on 10/18/2026. She will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.
