Psst… hi! Spencer here.
I'm sharp as a tack — give me a job and I'll make you look like a genius.
My file says I've got energy to spare — adventure buddy applications now open.
I've been holding down the fort in Statesville, hoping someone like you would wander by.
Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.
With a little luck, Thanksgiving could be my first one in a real home — possibly with you, or with someone you send my way.
Thanks for stopping by and giving me a moment — it honestly made my whole day. — Spencer
About Spencer
The Social Butterfly- Kindness Abounds, Meet Spencer! Discovered as a stray while his finder was driving along a local roadway, Spencer hung out with her and her young child until she could get him here safely to the shelter, for just a few hours until we opened for the day. She let us know that this adorable guy did SO well, that if he didnât have a family and it were where she were able to do so, she would adopt him herself- as he did WONDERFULLY with her child, was super friendly and was just a good boy!Sadly, although he was found with both a shock collar and a harness, there was no ID tag and he was not chipped, so if he had a family they never came to reunite with him AND his finder was not able to adoptâ¦. SO, here he is!! Letâs help change his luck and land him the BEST family, EVER!!Since he has been here, Spencer has met a similar sized spayed female- he was very bouncy and playful, right away with his new friend! He just wanted to smell and greet her constantly â such a sweet & social boy, with lots of energy. Please come meet this social butterfly in person to see if he is meant to spend forever with your family! Please only consider adopting if you are sure you can promise forever- brave little Spencer deserves only that!We are a first come, first served and in-person adoption center located at 430 Bristol Drive, Statesville, NC.Hours: MondayâFriday 12â5 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m.â2 p.m.Please ask to meet him, as our adoption kennels are full and he is not in the public area! Meet and greets with other dogs and children are always recommended. We donât know how he does with cats and have no way to test for this.
