Pawsada

Our story

Why we built Pawsada

Pawsada started from a simple conviction: dogs do better with people who know them than in a kennel — and dog owners would happily host one another if there were a trusted way to do it.

The problem with boarding

Every dog owner knows the feeling of leaving town and facing the same options: an expensive kennel, a stranger from a sitter app, or imposing on a friend. Dogs often come home from commercial boarding stressed — unfamiliar place, unfamiliar people, no continuity. The care you’d actually want for your dog is the kind a fellow dog person gives, in a real home.

A reciprocal network, not a marketplace

Pawsada turns that into a network. Verified dog owners host one another’s dogs and exchange that care through points instead of paying nightly fees. Because everyone both hosts and is hosted, it stays a community of committed dog people rather than a transactional marketplace.

Built around friendships

The part we care most about is what happens over time: dogs make friends. Pawsada remembers who your dog has played with and stayed with — Best Friends, Sleepover Buddies, favorite hosts — and records it all in a Dog Passport. Repeat stays with familiar dogs are calmer and happier. That’s the vision: not “find a sitter,” but my dog already knows this dog.

The mission

To become the most trusted way for dog owners to care for one another’s dogs — and the platform that helps people live well with their dogs everywhere, from dog-friendly apartments to the parks and patios that welcome them.
