Dixi is a 3-year-old terrier who was rescued from hardship in Texas. Sweet, affectionate, and deeply loyal, she bonds closely with her people and loves gentle affection. She does beautifully with other dogs of all sizes and needs at least one confident dog companion in her home to feel safe and secure. Dixi is a sensitive, fearful girl who thrives in calm, predictable environments. She is housetrained, but fear-based anxiety can occasionally cause indoor accidents. She would do best in a quiet household with a patient adopter who understands shy dogs and can give her time to decompress and feel safe.
