The rescue’s notes on Apple Pie

Hi, I'm Apple Pie! I'm 7 months old, and lately I've been wondering... when will it be my turn? My mom found a home. All of my siblings found homes. One by one, I've watched them leave for their happily-ever-afters while I continue to wait. Don't get me wrong—everyone here is so nice to me. The volunteers tell me what a good boy I am, give me belly rubs, and shower me with love. But what I really want is a family of my very own. With my soft fur, squishy little face, and sweet personality, I'm pretty hard to resist. At least that's what everyone tells me! I'm not just cute—I'm smart, too. I've been working hard on my manners and learning commands like sit, stay, and come. On walks, I'm very well behaved and love exploring the world with my people. I'm also a wonderful house guest. I don't make messes, I don't destroy things, and I'm happiest when I'm spending time with the people I love. I enjoy playing, romping around, and carrying a bone proudly through the house like it's my most prized possession. One of my favorite things in the whole world is snuggling. If you'll let me, I'll happily curl up next to you and soak up all the cuddles I can get. I love people of all ages, I enjoy other dogs, and I have so much love left to give. Sometimes I wonder why I've been overlooked. Maybe my family just hasn't found me yet. Could that family be yours? I've been waiting patiently, being the best boy I can be.
