Athena is a 2-year-old Pit Bull mix weighing approximately 53 pounds who is gentle, sensitive, and may be shy when meeting new people or adjusting to new environments, but with time and kindness, she reveals a deeply affectionate and loyal personality. She walks nicely on a leash, responds well to positive reinforcement, and does well with calm, easygoing dogs or can thrive as the only dog in the home. Athena is spayed, microchipped, current on her rabies vaccination and boosters, and has tested heartworm positive; her heartworm treatment is fully sponsored by Rockwall PAWS. She is looking for a patient, loving, and calm home where she can build confidence at her own pace and form a strong bond with her person.
