Breed

Well, hello! Laney here.

I'm basically a furry tornado of joy who somehow ended up in the luckiest situation—I get to run, play, wrestle, and adventure with people who actually want me around all day.

My notes say I'm a world-class cuddler, and I'd like that on the record.

I'm a youngster — a little goofy, very teachable, and absolutely ready to grow up beside someone wonderful.

I've been holding down the fort in Ashville, hoping someone like you would wander by.

Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.

With a little luck, Labor Day could be my first one in a real home — possibly with you, or with someone you send my way.

Thanks for stopping by and giving me a moment — it honestly made my whole day. — Laney

About Laney

Meet Laney! If you're looking for a fun-loving, energetic companion to keep you smiling, Laney may be the perfect match! This beautiful Shepherd/Lab mix is full of personality and is always ready for her next adventure. Laney loves spending time outdoors no matter the season. Whether she's running around the yard, playing with her favorite chew toys, or wrestling with her foster dog siblings, she's happiest when she's active. While she enjoys just about everything outside, she's decided the kiddie pool isn't for her! When meeting new people, Laney can be a little shy at first, but once she knows you're a friend, her affectionate and playful side quickly shines through. She's crate trained, house trained, and eager to learn. Like many young dogs, she sometimes gets so excited to see her people that she forgets her manners and jumps up to say hello—but she's making great progress with consistent training. Laney is also working on her leash skills. She can become excited and vocal when she sees other dogs or people during walks, so she'll do best with a family that is committed to continuing her positive reinforcement training. The good news? She's highly food-motivated (especially if veggies are involved!), making training both fun and rewarding. Laney has not been tested with cats and can be a little unsure around young children, so a home with older, dog-savvy kids or adults who can help build her confidence may be the best fit. With her intelligence, playful spirit, and loving heart, Laney has so much potential. If you're looking for an active best friend who will thrive with love, patience, and continued guidance, Laney is ready to become a cherished member of your family.
