Tam came to rescue when her previous owners could not be located, and she's now ready for a fresh start with a family who will appreciate both her affectionate nature and her fun-loving personality. Beyond her award-winning hugs, Tam is a playful, enthusiastic young dog who enjoys games like fetch, tug, and chase. She's highly treat-motivated and eager to please, making her a wonderful candidate for continued training. She would thrive with an adopter who is excited to build a strong bond through positive, force-free training. With her loving heart and willingness to learn, Tam has all the makings of an incredible lifelong companion. Like many young dogs, Tam is still learning the ropes and will benefit from continued training and socialization. She's not a "turn-key" dog, but for someone willing to invest a little time and guidance, the reward will be a loyal, affectionate best friend who greets you with hugs every single day. Tam has not been tested with cats, so a cat-free home is recommended. She would do best with dogs her size or with confident dogs who can match her playful energy. Due to her size (50 pounds), any children in the home should be at least 12 years old and experienced with larger dogs. As a young Lab mix, Tam will need regular exercise to stay happy and balanced. She'll love daily walks, runs, and outdoor adventures—and she'd make an excellent hiking buddy! Tam is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped.
