Oh — hi! Daphne here.
I'm basically a 200-pound anxious potato who happens to look intimidating, but really I just need my dog best friend and someone patient enough to watch me slowly figure out that the world isn't terrifying.

About Daphne
Meet Daphne Daphne came to us from a California shelter very shy, shut down, and unsure of the world around her. She has made progress, but she is still a shy and timid girl who needs patience, love, and confidence-building. Daphne is very dependent on having another dog in the home. She truly looks to other dogs for comfort and guidance. She and Cookie became best friends here at the rescue and look like sisters. They are currently in a run together and do everything together except eat. Ideally, we would love to find Daphne and Cookie a home together. We know that may not always be possible, so Daphne's new home must have another confident, friendly dog of an appropriate age and energy level for her to bond with and continue growing. Daphne is a very sweet girl. She can be a little stubborn at times, especially when she is asked to come inside and decides she is not ready. Sometimes you have to go get her, but that is really just her shyness and uncertainty showing through. She needs a patient home that understands shy dogs and will give her the time, structure, and confidence she needs to keep blossoming.
