Mickey is the kind of puppy who wakes up each day excited to see what adventures are in store. Playful, happy, and full of personality, he loves spending time with his people and is always ready to turn an ordinary afternoon into a game of fetch.This fun-loving boy has plenty of puppy energy and enjoys running, playing, and exploring, but he's not all action all the time. Once he's gotten his wiggles out, Mickey is more than happy to settle down for some cuddles and quality time with his favorite humans.Mickey is also a smart little guy who genuinely enjoys learning. He's currently working on basic commands like sit and stay and is making great progress every day. One of his proudest achievements so far has been mastering the doggy door, which he picked up quickly and now uses like a pro. That new skill has helped him tremendously with his house-training routine and shows just how eager he is to learn.At bedtime, Mickey settles nicely into his crate and sleeps well through the night. He typically snoozes for 8–10 hours and has adapted quickly to his nightly routine, making him an easy houseguest for his foster family.With his playful spirit, affectionate nature, and eagerness to learn, Mickey is everything people love about puppies. He's looking for a family ready to continue his training, embrace his goofy puppy moments, and enjoy watching him grow into an amazing companion.They were rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas.Meet and greets are by appointment only. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
