Hi, new friend! Fresca here.
I'm ten months of pure potential—smart enough to know "sit" pays dividends, energetic enough to keep you honest, and wise enough to appreciate a good belly rub after we've worn each other out.
They wrote that I love to play. Understatement. I'd hike, fetch, and nap with you, in that order.
I'm still young and full of beans, with a whole lot of love (and the occasional zoomie) saved up for the right person.
I do come with a few special needs, but please don't let that scare you off — I just need a patient friend, and I pay it back tenfold.

Special needs: [YELLOW]Owner surrender on 6/23/26. Owner had dog for 2 weeks and surrendering dog d/t mouthy behavior. Juvenile dog who can be very mouthy when excited.B O: Dog approached while on an outing with a volunteer. Dog bounced up towards staff person and mouthed at hands. Sat immediately when asked. Jumped up to try to grab treat from staff person's hand. Has good bite inhibition, but uses mouth on hands often.B A: Friendly, playful, energetic puppy. Yellow for in-shelter handling d/t persistent mouthy behavior.B P: Make available for adoption. Will need continued appropriate socialization with new people, places and other animals, and positive reinforcement/rewards based training[2026-06-24 18:42:00.000]
About Fresca
Fresca – Playful, Smart, and Full of Fun Fresca is a 10-month-old Pit Bull Terrier/Pointer mix weighing 40 pounds with a joyful personality and all the enthusiasm of a growing puppy. Active and adventurous: Fresca may be bouncy and pull on leash at the beginning of an outing, but she's very manageable for her size and becomes more responsive as she settles into the walk. Smart and eager to learn: She responds to "come," "sit," and "down," enjoying both the treats and the chance to interact with her handler. She's attentive, curious, and loves working together. Fun-loving companion: Fresca enjoys zooming around the yard, chasing plush toys and tennis balls, and playing tug with her people. After playtime, she's happy to soak up head and butt scratches and may even roll over for belly rubs. Dog-social: Fresca enjoys games of chase with other dogs in doggie playgroup and would do well with appropriately matched canine companions or as a solo dog with dog friends outside the home.
