Hi there! Milo here.
I live for the splash, the fetch, the chaos—then I nap like I invented sleeping, unbothered and complete.
They wrote that I love to play. Understatement. I'd hike, fetch, and nap with you, in that order.
I'm still young and full of beans, with a whole lot of love (and the occasional zoomie) saved up for the right person.
I'm on the bigger side — which, if you ask me, is just more of me to hug.
I'm a Sedalia local, just waiting on the right person.
Here's the thing — I can't tell if we'd truly click until I know a little about you. Sign in (it's free) and I'll size up your place, say hello to any dogs you've got — or be your very first — and give you my honest read on whether we'd be a match.
Who knows — by Labor Day I might be napping on somebody's couch. I'd love it to be near you, one way or another.
Either way, thank you for seeing me today. That part mattered more than you know. — Milo

About Milo
Milo is the life of the party and your future adventure buddy! This goofy, fun-loving young Lab mix is always ready for whatever the day brings. Whether it's chasing a ball, playing with his dog friends, splashing in the water, or joining you on your next adventure, Milo approaches life with endless enthusiasm and a big, happy smile. If there's water nearby, you can bet he'll be the first one in!Milo is wonderful with kids and gets along great with other dogs. He's also seems to be house trained. Like many adolescent dogs, Milo is still learning how to channel all of his excitement. He's a smart, eager pup who would thrive with puppy classes or an adopter who has experience continuing a young dog's training. With consistency and guidance, he's going to grow into an incredible companion. He's also working on building a positive relationship with his crate and improving his leash manners. While he sleeps in his crate each night and takes naps there, it's still not his favorite place, and he sometimes needs a little encouragement (and a tasty treat!) to head inside. He'd likely do best in a home where crating isn't a major part of his daily routine. On walks, his excitement can sometimes get the best of him, but with practice and patience, he's making great progress. If you're looking for a happy-go-lucky dog who will make you laugh, keep you active, and never say no to a swim, Milo is ready to dive right into your life. They were rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas.Meet and greets are by appointment only. An approved application is required to schedule a meeting. Check out our events page for upcoming open adoption events! We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time. When we do, it will be updated here. This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above. Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free pet insurance. We are not affiliated with MetLife pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.
