About Vinny
Vinny is an 8-year-old neutered pug weighing just under 20 pounds with the energy and enthusiasm of a much younger dog. This affectionate and loyal companion forms strong bonds with his people and loves being their devoted shadow, following from room to room and soaking up attention. Vinny is house-trained, knows commands including sit, paw, and wait, rides calmly in the car, and enjoys long walks and playing fetch, though he tends to destroy stuffed toys in his excitement and will need durable chew toys. He experiences significant separation anxiety when left alone and would thrive best in a home where someone is present most of the time, such as with a retired adopter or someone who works from home; while he can coexist with other dogs, he would prefer to be an only dog so he doesn't have to share his human's attention. Vinny is cautious when meeting new people but warms up quickly and becomes friendly with proper introductions. He is currently on Simparica Trio preventative medication and eats Royal Canin dry food twice daily, with excellent hearing, vision, and mobility for his age.
