Cosmos is a great little dog for any family… He's a dachshund mix, approximately 9 years old and weighs 19 pounds. Cosmos is crate trained, potty trained, and loves his treats! He came back to Diamond Dachshund after two bouts of bad luck with his former families… Neither of which were his fault. His first family moved and could not keep him, and his second family had a major emergency and had to return him to the Rescue. Cosmos gets along with dogs of all sizes (his foster brothers and sisters range from 12 to 80 pounds)…he loves to cuddle on the sofa next to his humans, and on hot days he loves a good sunbathe and to splash in the doggie pool outside. "Cosmos recently had an incident in which he ingested part of a chew toy and had to have it surgically removed, so his future forever family should be vigilant about what toys/bones he's given."
