The rescue’s notes on Brownie

Meet Brownie Nickname- TANK Tank is exactly what his name suggests — a solid, lovable chunk of a dog with a giant heart and an even bigger appetite. Incredibly food-motivated (you've been warned!), Tank isn't shy about announcing mealtime with a few dramatic, hungry grumbles that are equal parts charming and hilarious. He gets along beautifully with other dogs. While he's not one to engage in play, he enjoys their company and is always down for a good cuddle session. Tank is also cat-friendly — though if a cat tries to play, he may give a gentle chase. Thankfully, he responds well to correction and settles quickly. Due to a neurological condition that causes him to drag his front paws, Tank doesn't go on walks — but that doesn't slow him down. He loves chasing a ball around the house (his absolute favorite), napping in the sun, or curling up next to his person. When he gets excited, he often carries something in his mouth — a toy, a shoe, or whatever's nearby. It's his way of self-soothing, and he'll happily drop it when asked. Tank takes a little time to warm up, but once he trusts you, he's all in. With a rough past behind him, he's still learning that people can be kind — and his progress has been nothing short of inspiring. His sweet soul shines through more and more each day. With a dash of bulldog charm and a whole lot of love to give, Tank is a mellow, affectionate companion who simply wants to be near his people.
