Hi, new friend! Patrick here.

I'm still young and full of beans, with a whole lot of love (and a few zoomies) saved up for the right person.

I'd love to meet you. But if I'm not quite the one, maybe you could do me one tiny favor — print my bio and pop it up somewhere a future best friend might spot it. Who knows, I might see you at the park someday! Either way, thank you for stopping by and giving me a moment. It really did mean a lot. — Patrick 🐾

The rescue’s notes on Patrick

Patrick Is An Adorable 4 Month Old Bichon Frise Relinquished From A Puppy Mill. Patrick and his siblings arrived on the Eve of St Paddy's Day hence he bears to name of the holiday. He is a touch shy but will quickly warn up when he feels safe and will blossom when he is in his permanent home, Like most mill dogs he was not socialized, cuddled and handled like puppies his age would normally would, He understands dogs better than people. In foster care, he has learned that people can be pretty nice and cuddles are pretty awesome! He will do well with another gentle companion dog or as a single dog. Like all puppies he will need structure and a patient loving home. We recommend training for all puppies not only to give the puppy learning skill. But you and your puppy/dog will create a stronger bond just for having gone to training. Patrick is fully vetted, He has been neutered, has received age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, Subsequent vaccines are at the expense of his adopter, His adoption donation is $1200.00. He is on the hunt for his own completely committed family, Little Dogs can live to be 20+ years old so he wants to be sure his family is all in 100% for better or for worse! IF INTERESTED IN A PUPPY (UNDER 12 MONTHS): YOU MUST HAVE A FLEXIBLE WORK SCHEDULE OR SOMEONE HOME ALL DAY. PUPPIES NEED TO BE LET OUT TO POTTY OFTEN, THEY NEED SOCIALIZATION AND BONDING AND NEED TRAINING (HOUSETRAINING AND BEHAVIORAL TRAINING). IF YOU WORK LONG HOURS, HAVE A BUSY SOCIAL SCHEDULE OR NOT FINANCIALLY SECURE THEN A PUPPY IS NOT FOR YOU. We adopt in the local Chicago metro area. We require home visits, If you would like to apply to be considered as an adoption candidate to adopt Patrick please fill out an application for him adoption on our website at: https://www.rescuetailsanimalwelfare.org/info/aoption We are all volunteers with full time jobs. We try to get back to all applicants within 72 hours.
