The rescue’s notes on Sugar Plum

Sugar Plum is a young Labrador Retriever who is learning to feel safe in the world. She came to the shelter pregnant and did not receive proper socialization as a puppy, which means she can be fearful in new situations and is considered a flight risk. Sugar Plum is crate trained, housebroken, friendly with other dogs, and enjoys toys once she feels secure; however, she must have another dog in the home, as she takes great comfort in canine companionship and thrives when she can follow the lead of a confident dog. She will need a patient, understanding adopter committed to helping her build confidence at her own pace, ideally with a calm home and a securely fenced yard. Sugar Plum is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and maintained on monthly flea and tick preventatives.
