Meet Ashira: Professional Cuddler, Loyal Companion, and Future Best Friend This adorable, 5-year-old, 22-pound, Chihuahua mix has never met a lap she didn't want to curl up in. Soft, sweet, and incredibly affectionate, Ashira's favorite place in the world is right beside her person. Unlike many dogs who need time to warm up, Ashira believes everyone is already her friend. She greets new people with enthusiasm and affection, making fast friends wherever she goes. Ashira is the perfect companion for a relaxed lifestyle. Whether you're binge-watching your favorite show, reading a book, or working around the house, she's happy to be nearby - snuggled on the couch, curled up in your lap, or peacefully resting at your feet while you tackle life's daily tasks. She's both house trained and crate trained, though she doesn't require a crate when left alone. In fact, Ashira is wonderfully low-maintenance and content to spend her time napping while you're away. She sleeps soundly through the night and is happiest in a calm, predictable environment. Because of her gentle and easygoing personality, Ashira would thrive in a peaceful home without young children or overly energetic pets. She gets along well with both small and large dogs, though we don't yet know how she feels about cats. One area where Ashira could use a little extra support is leash walking. She can be reactive when encountering other dogs, so a home with a fenced yard would be ideal. If a fenced yard isn't available, she'll need a patient adopter willing to continue helping her build confidence and improve her leash manners.
