Hi, new friend! DUKE here.
I've got a feeling you and I could be pretty great together.
I'm on the bigger side — but honestly, that's just more of me to hug.
I'd love to meet you. But if I'm not quite the one, maybe you could do me one tiny favor — print my bio and pop it up somewhere a future best friend might spot it. Who knows, I might see you at the park someday! Either way, thank you for stopping by and giving me a moment. It really did mean a lot. — DUKE 🐾
The rescue’s notes on DUKE
DUKE is pure joy wrapped in a big, happy grin. This cheerful, go‑with‑the‑flow guy LOVES his walks and lights up the moment he knows it's adventure time. He's still learning not to chase squirrels and other speedy little critters, so he'll do best with a confident handler who can help him stay focused when excitement strikes. Around other dogs, DUKE is curious and polite. He tends to choose female playmates, but honestly, he's the kind of dog who just wants to get along with everyone. Toys are his love language, and cool weather turns him into an absolute delight — he does the cutest little hops at the start of every walk when the temperature drops. DUKE would make a fantastic hiking buddy. He naturally prefers to walk single file ahead of his person, taking in the world with enthusiasm while still checking in. He's also a big fan of car rides and will happily join you for any outing. This boy is deeply people‑oriented. If left alone outside, he'll try his best to get back to his humans, so he'll need a sturdy enclosure or, even better, someone who enjoys having him close. Indoors, he's a gentleman — he sleeps in his crate every night without a fuss. DUKE is ready for a life filled with adventure, companionship, and someone who appreciates his big heart and bigger personality.
