The rescue’s notes on Cornbread

Cornbread is currently in foster care and ready for adoption via our virtual process!Cornbread, a six-month-old female currently weighing 30 lbs., just arrived and is still getting settled in, so we’re just beginning to learn who they are. Right now, everything is new—new people, new sounds, new routines—and we’re giving them time to relax, decompress, and show us their true personality at their own pace.Here’s what we know so far from her time in foster care: "From the moment she arrived, she’s shown herself to be a smart, eager-to-please puppy, who wants to learn and genuinely figure things out.She’s already making impressive progress with her potty training — picking things up quickly even after just her first day — which really speaks to how attentive and responsive she is.She has all the best 'puppy' qualities: happy, playful, waggy, and full of life. Cornbread loves to engage and play, but what’s especially lovely is how well she responds to gentle redirection and positive reinforcement. She takes guidance and seems to enjoy learning, which makes being with her feel rewarding and easy.After playtime or activity, Cornbread settles down quickly and can be quite calm, showing a great balance of energy and the ability to relax. She is really affectionate, and loves cuddles and giving kisses. And just wants to be near you.It’s clear that Cornbread is going to grow into a wonderful family member.
