He was found wandering as a stray, and although he tried his best to be brave, the shelter environment was overwhelming for him. The stress took a toll — he lost weight, shut down a bit, and quietly waited for life to get better.And then it did.Thanks to Sammy’s Hope, Bruce was welcomed into a loving foster home where he could finally exhale. In just a short time, he has blossomed into the dog he was always meant to be. He’s relaxed, curious about the world, and so affectionate it’s impossible not to fall for him. His appetite is back, he sleeps soundly through the night in his crate without a peep, and he’s rediscovered the simple joy of playing with his toys.Bruce is friendly, eager to please, and knows his basic commands. He’s also extremely food motivated — treats are his love language — which makes training fun and rewarding. His foster family describes him as a sweetheart who just wants to be near his people and soak up the comfort he missed for so long.Bruce isn’t just looking for a home.
