Meet Texas — a big-hearted boy. Texas came to us as a young puppy along with his mom and littermates after they were rescued from a rural animal control facility. Since then, he has blossomed into a happy, well-mannered dog who is ready to find a family of his own. Texas is potty trained, crate trained, and has excellent house manners. He isn't destructive, doesn't chew on things he shouldn't, and knows how to let you know when he needs to go outside. He enjoys having a routine and settles in nicely at home. One of Texas's favorite things is spending time outdoors. Whether he's exploring the yard, soaking up the sunshine, or carrying around a favorite stick, he's content just enjoying the day. He doesn't dig, and he respects his surroundings. When playtime comes around, he's always happy to romp with other dogs and has done well with canine friends. Texas is the kind of dog who fits easily into family life. He's friendly with people, gentle on leash, and loves being included in whatever is going on. He has a sweet, easygoing personality that makes him a joy to be around. Most of all, Texas is ready for a family to call his own. He's waited patiently for his chance, and now he's hoping the right person will see what a wonderful companion he is.
