Special needs: [BLUE]Background: brought in stray by ACO. Neighbor stated dog may have chewedB through the owner's RV camper door and running loose. Given red dot at intake.B Handling 5/11/26: standing at front on approach, handler tossed treats into kennel, dog sniffed but then backed away and low growled. Handler dropped guillotine when dog went to back of kennel. Met dog at rear of kennel, dog sniffed handler through bars and sniffed treats on floor. After a few minutes, handler opened door and slowly presented leash for dog to sniff. Dog allowed very slow leashing and followed handler outside. Dog pulls moderately, stalls when she sees new people in hallway. Eliminated immediately two times outdoors. In small yard, dog affiliative with other handler, jumping on her, and allowing all over touch as dog is very familiar with her. Did not take treats from primary handler, approached to sniff toys and sniffed this handler once or twice. Did not attempt further touch with this dog, also backed away from leash a few times when it was time to exit yard. Other handler leashed dog when dog climbed into her lap and had no issue rekenneling.B A: Dog appears to have stranger-danger consistent with initial intake notes. Dog is now in PG ward and should be reassessed/monitored for behavior after a few more days acclimating to routine of PG and while in shelter.B B [2026-05-11 21:07:00.000]
