The rescue’s notes on Poppin

Meet Poppin, a 8 month old pup with the sweetest, most easygoing personality.Poppin has cerebellar hypoplasia, also known as CH, a neurological condition that affects his balance and coordination because the part of the brain responsible for movement did not fully develop. It causes him to wobble a little when he walks, but it is not painful and will not get worse over time. Like most CH pups, Poppin has adapted incredibly well and lives a happy, playful, and full life.He absolutely loves other pups and would do best in a home with a playful companion who enjoys staying active and can help keep him engaged and moving. Being outside is one of his favorite things, and he would love a fenced yard where he can safely explore and enjoy his time. After playtime, he is all about chewing on his favorite bones and soaking up all the cuddles.Poppin is crate trained and does a great job letting you know when he needs to go out by ringing a bell. He would do best with someone who is home often and can continue giving him the love, attention, and active lifestyle he thrives with.He does best in a home with minimal stairs and softer surfaces like rugs or carpet to help him move around more comfortably.Poppin is such a special little guy who brings joy everywhere he goes. He may move a little differently, but that just makes him even more lovable. Please only apply if you are serious about adopting. Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine. The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you.
