Special needs: [YELLOW]O:B At back of kennel lying down.B Opened door and she retreated briefly but then came forward for a treat and allowed leashing.B Mild pulling on leash and had to pass lots of people and carts and dogs in the hallway which she did without any issues.B Off leash in small yard, immediately eliminated x 2 and then comes directly over to the handler and leans in.B Allows all handling, around 2 yo by teeth.B Takes treats gently, knows sit and checks toys out but no play.B Easy return to kennel. A:B Sensitive affiliative dog, minimal training.B B P:B Adopters should be aware that she is environmentally sensitive and will need structure and consistency in her new home.B Unknown how she'd do with children[2026-03-08 15:46:00.000]

I'm on the bigger side — but honestly, that's just more of me to hug.
I do come with a few special needs, but please don't let that worry you — I just need a patient friend, and I pay it back tenfold.

Chrisi – Shy yet Sweet and Curious Chrisi is a brindle Shepherd mix around 2 years old and 75 pounds. She has a thoughtful, observant nature and a sweet personality that shines as she gets comfortable. Easy walking companion: Chrisi walks nicely on leash with minimal pulling, though she may show some interest and pull a bit when she notices another dog nearby. Curious explorer: She enjoys sniffing and taking in her surroundings, sometimes appearing a little independent at first. Playful side: Chrisi enjoys chasing after a tennis ball and engaging in light play. Affectionate once comfortable: She responds to "sit," takes treats gently, and will happily trot over when called. When she warms up, she leans her body into your legs to enjoy pets and affection. Chrisi has mostly kept to herself when meeting other dogs at the shelter. She may do well as the solo dog in the home, or with an appropriately matched dog companion.
