FAIRY

Pit Bull Terrier · Adult · Female · Large

San Jose, CA

Hey, friend! FAIRY here.

I've got a feeling you and I could be pretty great together.

I'm on the bigger side — but honestly, that's just more of me to hug.

I'd love to meet you. But if I'm not quite the one, maybe you could do me one tiny favor — print my bio and pop it up somewhere a future best friend might spot it. Who knows, I might see you at the park someday! Either way, thank you for stopping by and giving me a moment. It really did mean a lot. — FAIRY 🐾

The rescue’s notes on FAIRY

04/08/26 16:30Meet your new best friend: Fairy!Fairy has been at the shelter since early February and she is eager for her new family to come and adopt her. She is super friendly and tries to make new buddies everywhere she goes. Fairy is always super wiggly but knows when it's time to get serious and listen. She knows sit and allowed us to check her teeth and ears with no problem. She has made it her life mission to make herself everyone's new best friend. Will you help Fairy reach her goal and become her ultimate best fiend?2/25/26Meet Fairy – The Wiggly Girl with a Bright Spark! This 4-year-old, spayed Pit Bull mix has a happy, wiggly presence in her kennel and greets people with eager energy. She currently has a cover on her kennel, and when the cover was lifted and staff kneeled in front, Fairy came forward to gently smell and touch their hand with her nose, her tail wagging (tucked low) in a soft, friendly manner. At times she barks in her kennel with a high, loose tail wag (FAS 2–3), showing excitement and arousal rather than fear. She’s easy to leash and ready to head out when given the opportunity.Fairy knows “sit,” is treat motivated, and enjoys engaging with her handler, making her a great candidate for continued positive reinforcement training. On leash, she does pull, but she’s manageable with guidance and consistency. She allows handling such as looking in her mouth and ears, though she does not enjoy restraint and will do best with gentle, low-pressure handling.Fairy may fence fight with other dogs, so closed dividers are recommended in the shelter setting. Slow, thoughtful introductions to other dogs would be important. This lively, sensitive girl is looking for a home that can provide structure, patience, and clear boundaries. With consistency and understanding, Fairy will blossom into a devoted companion who shares her wiggles and enthusiasm with the people she trusts.
