Hi there! Petey here.
I won't fib — I've got a little grey on my muzzle. But being older just means I'm past the wild puppy stuff and all about cozy company and slow, happy mornings.
I do come with a few special needs, but please don't let that worry you — I just need a patient friend, and I pay it back tenfold.
I'd love to meet you. But if I'm not quite the one, maybe you could do me one tiny favor — print my bio and pop it up somewhere a future best friend might spot it. Who knows, I might see you at the park someday! Either way, thank you for stopping by and giving me a moment. It really did mean a lot. — Petey 🐾
The rescue’s notes on Petey
Hi, I'm Petey. I'm a 10‑year‑old Boston boy weighing 35 pounds, with a big heart and an even bigger love for being close to my person. I'm what they call a certified love bug—I follow my foster around the house because being near my human makes me feel safe and happy. Snuggles are my specialty. I'm a quiet guy and never bark. I don't play much with the other dogs, but I'm starting to get curious about toys… I'm still figuring out what all the fuss is about. I'm a perfect gentleman, still learning the ropes, and I try my very best every day. I'm trained on the potty pad, and I'm great on a leash. I enjoy going on walks and I'm amazing on them—steady, calm, and happy to trot right beside you. I'm good with kids, cats, and dogs, and I'd be a wonderful companion for a senior or anyone who wants a gentle, low‑energy buddy. I love peanut butter and bacon‑flavored treats, cozy naps, and being close enough to feel your warmth. What I'd really love is a home where life is a mix of chill and a little bit of adventure… and where someone wants snuggles all day long. If you're looking for a sweet, quiet, loyal friend who will adore you with his whole heart, I'm your guy. My adoption fee is $100, but if you are a senior yourself (65+) my adoption fee is waived. We are always looking for good foster homes. These homes allow us to rescue more Boston Terriers in need because we have a place for them to go until they are adopted. Please consider becoming a foster home for Boston Terrier Rescue of North Texas. You can fill out a foster application at Foster Application | Boston Terrier Rescue Of North Texas . This will allow you to possibly become a foster home for one of our little Boston Terriers in need. Thank you for considering the possibility of fostering for Boston Terrier Rescue of North Texas! Thank you for your continued support in our rescue efforts!
