Hi there! Skipper Drei here.

I won't fib — I've got a little grey on my muzzle. But being older just means I'm past the wild puppy stuff and all about cozy company and slow, happy mornings.

I'd love to meet you. But if I'm not quite the one, maybe you could do me one tiny favor — print my bio and pop it up somewhere a future best friend might spot it. Who knows, I might see you at the park someday! Either way, thank you for stopping by and giving me a moment. It really did mean a lot. — Skipper Drei 🐾

The rescue’s notes on Skipper Drei

Skipper Drei is a 11 year old dachshund and chihuahua mix (chi-weenie). He is red and weighs 12 pounds. Skipper came to Diamond Dachshund Rescue with his son (George Youngster) and another fur family member (Princess Emerald) because sadly his human dad passed away. Skipper is sweet, calm and very quiet. His favorite thing to do is lay around all day and sleep. He also enjoys the sunshine. He is good with the other dogs in his foster home. He's good with adults and kids. We aren't sure about cats because his foster home doesn't have any. Skipper was at the vet and had all his vaccinations done. He was also neutered and had a dental. Skipper did have his front leg amputated. It was determined by the vet that it was causing him some pain. Skipper was injured as a puppy, his paw was broken and it didn't heal right. He would limp when he walked all the time. The vet advised this would improve his quality of life. He came with almost no teeth, so what teeth he has left are bright and shiny!
